
Harvey Blackbear, a lifelong resident of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the age of 63. He was born on May 13, 1961, to Bessie Blackbear Tasso and Angelo Bull in Kingfisher, where he spent his entire life. Harvey attended Kingfisher High School, where he made lifelong friends and memories.
Harvey was known for his love of the outdoors. He found joy in spending his free time fishing and cherished the moments he spent with his friends and family. His sense of humor and warm spirit made him a beloved part of the Kingfisher community.
In addition to his personal passions, Harvey was a dedicated worker. He proudly served as a firefighter for Cheyenne and Arapaho fire department for many years. He also worked as a farm hand alongside his stepfather for Charles Smith.
Harvey will be remembered for his kind heart, his loyalty to his loved ones, and his dedication to his work. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Harvey. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Blackbear Tasso; father, Angelo Bull; step-father, Henry Tasso, Sr.; five uncles, Luther Blackbear, James Blackbear, Jr., Lester Blackbear, Nick Blackbear and Charlie Blackbear; aunt, Erma Blackbear Daukie and one brother, Wesley Tasso.
Harvey leaves behind a daughter, Leticia Blackbear of Oklahoma City; brother, Clarence Blackbear, Henry Tasso, Jr. and Greg Tasso of Kingfisher; Aunt, Mary Lou Powell of Oklahoma City; uncles, Burton Blackbear of Oklahoma City and Floyd Blackbear of Watonga as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wake services for Harvey will be 7:00pm at the ERC Center in Kingfisher.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, January 16 at the ERC Center in Kingfisher with burial following at Kingfisher Cemetery.
