The funeral for Patricia Louise Wylie Cosper, 85 will be at 10:00 AM Friday August 21, 2026 at First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Sandra Shepherd. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed.
Pat was born in Fairfield, Illinois on April 3, 1941to Maxwell Edgar and Mabel L. West Wylie and died Tuesday August 18, 2026, at Hennessey Care Center.
She married Donald Ray Cosper in McLeansboro, Illinois April 1, 1958. Pat was a hairdresser for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Pat is survived by one daughter Starla Fuksa of Hennessey, one son Blake Cosper and wife Janice of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren Teysa Donn Woodward and husband Robbie of Yukon, Cody Cosper, Katie Cosper, both of Nixa, Missouri; four great grandchildren Braelyn, and Samuel of Yukon, Taetym Ann, and Ayla Ruth of Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, two grandchildren Michael Bradyn Fuksa, Laryn Ann Fuksa, and one sister Peggy Ann Ruphard and husband Joe Dale.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the First United Methodist Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
