The Kingfisher High School Choir spent Thursday, April 9th through Sunday, April 12th in Louisiana to compete in the New Orleans Heritage Festival, where they earned 1st Place Gold and the Spirit Award for an outstanding performance defined by energy, artistry, and excellence.
This marks the choir’s second national championship, following their first in Nashville in 2022. That earlier success led to an invitation to perform at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in 2024, where they performed alongside select choirs from across the country.
Students performing included:
Shilo Willingham, Haven Branson, Abi Smith, Andrew Takape, Ethan McLean, TJ Washington, Journe Washington, Jackson Garrett, Yesenia Rivera, Gisselle Ponce, Parker LeForce, and Amber Beagle.
Congratulations to the students and to their director, Mrs. Magnus, on continuing a tradition of excellence and national recognition!
