The smoke was thick, the tires were screaming and the crowd got quite a show at the 2nd Annual Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce Burnout.
This year’s event brought out three more entries than last year, with every contestant ready to put on a show and leave a little rubber behind. Some, as it turned out, left quite a bit more than that.
Tires went flying, smoke filled the air and drivers walked away covered in tire char. One vehicle apparently decided engine bearings were optional, while another tire simply said, “I’ve had enough,” and fell right off.
It was all part of the fun as contestants battled it out on the slab for the grand prize, giving spectators plenty of noise, smoke and excitement along the way.
The second annual event proved to be another success for the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce, and with more entries this year, the Burnout looks like an event that could keep getting bigger and better.
A big thank you goes to the contestants who put their vehicles to the test, along with the volunteers, sponsors and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the event possible.
Until next year, keep the tires spinning and the smoke rolling!
